Nutrition Counselling
How nutrition counselling works
What can I expect from nutrition counselling?
In nutrition counselling, you are at the centre. The first session focuses on getting to know each other and gaining a clear understanding of your individual situation. We discuss your goals and define the next steps together. Depending on the available time, you may also receive initial guidance on relevant topics and have the opportunity to ask questions.
Preparing for your appointment
To ensure we have enough time to focus on your concerns during the first consultation, we recommend completing the medical history questionnaire in advance. This allows us to prepare thoroughly for the session. You can choose whether your consultation takes place in person, by phone, or via video call.
Where can I attend the consultations?
We currently offer consultations at the following locations: Basel (Crossklinik), Sissach (Praxis Molteni), Frenkendorf (Neufeldpraxis), Breitenbach (Lüsselpark), Oberwil (Fitness Mühlematt) and Bubendorf (Praxis im Brühl). Online consultations are also available at any time.

Consultation Topics
Every journey begins with a first step. In our comprehensive nutrition counselling, we focus on your individual needs—whether related to food intolerances, diabetes, or the goal of a balanced diet. Together, we explore how factors such as eating habits, specific health conditions, and family preferences influence your nutrition. Using a tailored approach, we develop practical strategies to support informed choices that promote your health and overall well-being.

Food intolerances and digestive conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome or coeliac disease can significantly affect daily life. Through targeted observation, identifying individual triggers, and an adapted nutritional approach, symptoms can be reduced and digestion better supported.

Diabetes requires particular attention to nutrition. By understanding how carbohydrates affect blood glucose levels, you can learn to structure your meals in a way that supports your body while still allowing for enjoyment and flexibility.

Healthy nutrition from an early age lays the foundation for lifelong well-being. Learn how to encourage healthy eating habits in your children and how, as a family, you can take a shared and sustainable approach towards a balanced diet.

Nutrition plays a central role across different life stages and during hormonal changes, such as menopause, PCOS, lipedema, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Nutritional psychology looks at eating not in isolation, but in interaction with thoughts, emotions, habits, and life circumstances. The aim is to identify unhelpful patterns, better understand one’s own eating behaviour, and develop a more relaxed and mindful relationship with food.

Nutrition plays a key role in managing gout and high cholesterol levels. A targeted dietary approach can help reduce gout attacks and lower cholesterol. Making informed food choices supports overall metabolic and cardiovascular health.

Nutritional needs change with age. A balanced, needs-based diet supports well-being, helps maintain mobility, and contributes to the prevention of age-related conditions.

Sports nutrition supports performance, recovery, and long-term health. A needs-based nutritional approach helps to optimally combine training and everyday life, preparing the body for physical demands, competition, and recovery.

Micronutrients are the invisible heroes of our health. Deficiencies can contribute to a range of health issues. Learn how a varied and balanced diet can help ensure your body receives all essential vitamins and minerals.

A cancer diagnosis places specific demands on the body. An adapted nutritional approach can help manage side effects such as loss of appetite, weight loss, or digestive issues, and support the body during this challenging phase.
